If you want to dive anywhere you want, with anyone you want, join the Open Water Diver program. This is your international certification to become part of an exclusive group of underwater explorers that most people only dream about joining! Learning to dive is much easier than you think. 

This globally recognized certification program is the best way to begin your lifelong adventures as a certified scuba diver. Personalized training is combined with in-water practice sessions to ensure you have the skills and experience required to become truly comfortable underwater. You will earn the SSI Open Water Diver certification.  

We teach the Open Water Diver course on a flexible schedule (versus group) class so we can schedule training based on your calendar and needs. The course fee includes online academic materials, classroom instruction, pool instruction, rental gear for all pool training, and admission to the pool. Some personal gear (mask, snorkel, fins, and boots) is needed for training and we can guide you through fit and selection of the best choices for you. 

Training in a smaller group allows for more instructor/student interaction, the ability to train proficient and safe divers, and scheduling flexibility (to include weekdays). Academic training materials will be made available online since they are a combination of reading materials and videos. We utilize classroom time together to review the academic materials and to emphasize key points to ensure an excellent understanding of the knowledge portion of the training. 

Scuba skills are developed in the pool where we will progress from your first breath underwater to the point where you have mastered all the skills needed to become an Open Water Diver. Once classroom and pool training are completed we will head to a local dive site where we will spend a weekend doing “open water checkouts” to complete your certification training.
